I had paper prints, and tea towels, and pillow covers, and holiday cards. I had baby blankets and leather printed clutches (still have them)…I had wall hangings and table runners. Oh, and scarves and fat quarters for sewing.
Man I was dumb. LOL
Clearly, I didn’t have a product plan at that point, and I was confusing the hell out of my customers, but even worse…I had no idea how to price my products.
I definitely was pulling numbers out of thin air, and I had absolutely no strategy for making the money I hoped for, let alone enough to quit my day job…which was my ultimate goal.
If I could talk to younger, clueless Dani now, things would have gone a whole lot differently.
